INWOO Green Vegetation Mat Features

INWOO Green Vegetation Mat method is a method that initially improves physical strength in an artificial way like a bandage attached to a wound, but restores the function of rivers with unique ability of the nature as it recovers. We promise to restore rivers to their most natural state by applying the concept of 'time flow' which can never be ignored in natural ecosystems.

Eco-friendliness

We used natural materials using bamboo as a fixing member, as well as mats such as natural fibers, rice straw, coir-net, etc. These natural materials have excellent moisture retention capability and are eco-friendly materials that return to the nature after a certain period of time(2 to 3 years) after they serve as manure to grow plants.

 

Disaster prevention capability

INWOO Green Vegetation Mat method increased the strength of bonding with embankment slopes by firstly laying a natural material mat(natural fiber, rice straw, coir-nets) and fixing it with natural bamboo fixation pin which has very strong tensile strength and then planting domestic wild species with developed roots, unlike conventional mats that can withstand high flow velocity of up to 2.5 to 3m/sec.

 

Economic efficiency

  • This method is remarkably cost-effective and provides disaster prevention capability comparable to that of revetment method(construction method using the stones such as blocks and boulder stone, etc.) which can withstand high flow velocity.
  • It is easy to maintain because it can be repaired like piecing together.
  • As only desired plants grow, maintenance such as weeding, etc., is not required.
  • It uses plants cultivated in a tripod as small as 1"(32.9*34m/m), providing excellent workability and economical efficiency(existing port standard: 90m/m, 120m/m, 130m/m, 140m/m, 150m/m, 160m/m which have large size).
